Reduce (Simplify) Fraction



This page will simplify (reduce) a fraction its lowest terms and show how it was done.
A fraction is simplified when its numerator and denominator have no common factors (ie, the fraction is reduced or in lowest terms).

Note:  If the numerator (the top number) is greater than or equal to the denominator (the bottom number), the answer will displayed as an Improper Fraction and a Mixed Number.

Examples of Reducing a Fraction:
30/45 = 2/3
35/25 = 7/5 (which is an Improper Fraction that equals:  1 2/5)
