Enter All File/Object Sizes (e.g., HTML file, images, program files, etc.) associated with your Web Page and this page will estimate the time it will take a Web Page to download.

Notes:
  • To get the size of the HTML file and any associated images, files, or programs (located on a drive on your PC);  right click on the file or image in Windows Explorer, select "Properties" and record the file size (under heading  "Size").

  • Try to limit the number of kilobytes (KB) to about 50 KB for a home page and about 30 KB for all other pages.

  • Kbps means "kilobits per second"
    KB mean "kilobytes"
    MB mean "megabytes"

  • Bits and Bytes
    • 8 bits = 1 byte.
    • 1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte (KB).
    • 1024 kilobytes (KB) = 1 megabyte (MB)
